ITI pass-outs to get trained to use O2 plants

A week-long online ITI Master Trainer Program on Operation and maintenance of oxygen plants was rolled out on Thursday. Deputy Chief Minister
Ashwatha Narayana, who is also the minister of
Skill Development, inagurated the program organized through online participation. He said, this will help create a pool of Quick Maintenance Technicians for Operation & Maintenance of Oxygen Plants.
“Till now, the hospitals depended largely on liquid oxygen to meet their demands. But this has its own logistics and other issues. To overcome this, action is in progress to set up more than 350 oxygen generation plants in the state. The candidates who are trained in this program will have employment opportunities in these plants,” he explained. ....

NEW DELHI: The four teachers among the 11 government servants sacked by J&K administration recently for alleged terror links and ‘anti-national’ activities were not only radicalizing pupils in their respective schools and institutions but also influencing youngsters in their respective localities to join terror ranks, according to sources in the Central intelligence agencies.
While Nasir Ahmad Tantray, sacked from his job as a teacher at GMS, Batengu, Anantnag, was purportedly associated with Hizbul Mujahideen and Jamaat e Islami, both banned outfits under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act; Mohammad Jabar Parray, whose services as a lecturer in District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), were terminated, was known as ‘Chhota Geelani’ among Jamaat-e-Islami cadres and was closely working with Jaish e Mohammad, said a source. ....
