Kupwara District hospital gets new equipment under World Bank-funded project

Handwara (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], February 24 (ANI): With an aim to provide better facilities and cater to the medical requirements of the people of Kupwara, the district administration has started the up-gradation work as part of the World Bank-funded project under Contingency Emergency Response Component (CERC), with the latest medical equipment installed at the hospital.
Dr. Nissar Ahmad Wani, Medical Superintendent, district hospital, Handwara, Kupwara district told ANI, World Bank-funded equipment has been received in District Hospital Handwara and their installation process is going on. Thankful to the district Commissioner and the World Bank for the equipments which includes portable X-Ray, operation table, ICU beds, cardiac monitor, oxygen concentrators, oxygen plants for better assisting COVID patient ....

Normal life being restored: DC Kupwara

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Anshul Garg today said that the administration is working hard to restore normal life on a war footing basis in the district.
The DC said that all the field agencies are on job to ensure clearance of roads and restoration of essential services like electricity, drinking water, health care services and other facilities to the people of the district as soon as possible.
He said all the major roads leading to Baramulla, Sopore, Handwara, Lolab, Chowkibal and other link roads leading to Health Institutions have been cleared and traffic has also been restored.
Regarding power supply, he said two Grid Stations are functional and restoration of 33KV feeders and Hotline is also going on and they shall also get functional shortly. ....
