New Delhi [India], February 21 (ANI): Air quality in the national capital remained in the very poor category on Sunday with shallow fog observed in isolated pockets over Delhi.
The overall air quality index (AQI) stands at 303, as per the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).
As per the SAFAR, the concentration of PM10 particles stood at 261 in the poor category while PM 2.5 at 124 in the very poor category today.
An AQI between 0-50 is marked good, 51-100 is satisfactory, 101- 200 is moderate, 201- 300 is poor, 301-400 is very poor and 401-500 is considered severe.

New Delhi, Jan 22: The minimum temperature in the national capital dropped to 4.2 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal on Friday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. Moderate fog lowered visibility to 350 metres at Safdarjung and Palam, officials said.
According to reports, very dense fog is when visibility is between 0 and 50 metres. In case of dense fog, visibility is between 51 and 200 metres, moderate 201 and 500 metres, and shallow 501 and 1,000 metres.
A fresh Western Disturbance affecting the western Himalayas is likely to provide some relief from the chill. The minimum temperature in the national capital is expected to increase to 9 degrees Celsius by Sunday as a result of easterly winds and cloud cover.

New Delhi [India], January 18 (ANI): Air pollution levels in Delhi on Monday dipped slightly leading to a marginal improvement in the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) which was in the Very Poor category, that experts have attributed to moderate surface winds dispersing surface pollutants.
The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi this morning improved to Very Poor category from the Severe category that it had been for the past few days. The air quality is likely to remain in the same category for the next two days, according to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).

New Delhi [India], December 20 (ANI): As temperatures continue to drop in Northern India, Delhi woke up at 3.4 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), on Sunday.
Biting cold conditions prevailed in the national capital this morning as IMD said, Strong surface wind speed reaching 10-20 kmph very likely to prevail over parts of Northwest India during next 2 days. Today s observation shows that there is a positive tendency in the maximum temperatures during past 24 hours over Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi and therefore Cold Day conditions have abated from these sub-divisions, it added.
