Deputies with the Wilkes County Sheriff s Office are investigating a murder-suicide that happened Sunday afternoon and left 2 dead in Millers Creek.Investigators said deputies were called to a home located at 4216 Boone Trail just before 12:30 p.m. on the report of a shooting. Deputies found the victim, Marc Brantley, 51, shot multiple times outside this house, where he was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. The suspect, Mickey Davis, 64, of Purlear, was found at the scene suffering from self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Davis was taken to Wilkes Medical Center for treatment and later died. Deputies said the investigation is ongoing. ....
