91% Emirati youths believe that the UAE's best days are ahead


Abu Dhabi: A study of nearly 3,000 Emirati youths has shown that more than nine out of 10 91 per cent believe the UAE is looking at an even brighter future, even as the world undergoes major transformations over the next 50 years.
The study, commissioned by the Mohammed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations, was released today following a series of sessions on Sunday that connected the youth with ministers and industry bigwigs. The third MBZ Majlis was also the first time the event was held virtually and it saw more than 13,000 youths in attendance.

It is a shame to ignore one's mental health problems, says UAE minister


Abu Dhabi: It is a shame to ignore one’s mental health, and not a shame to face mental health concerns, a top UAE leader said on Sunday.
Speaking at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, urged greater awareness of mental health in the UAE. “In the past, [mental health was considered] taboo and people often considered them to be physical problems. [But we] need to understand that anyone can experience mental health problems. There is no shame in having them; [instead] it is a shame to ignore them,” Sheikh Abdulah said. ....

'Thriving Next normal' is the theme of 'Mohammad Bin Zayed Majlis for Future Generations' in UAE


Organised by the Education Affairs Office at the Crown Prince Court in Abu Dhabi, the 2021 Majlis welcomes 36 speakers. Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will deliver a special message to youth as a closing keynote of the event.
The virtual sessions of the event will feature 12 federal government ministers, six high-ranking federal and local government officials, and numerous international experts in various disciplines related to the main topics of the Majlis.
