Sued Under DSA: Journo Kajol’s case moved to cyber tribunal

A case filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA) against photojournalist Shafiqul Islam Kajol was yesterday transferred to Dhaka Cyber Tribunal for trial.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate AM Zulfikar Hayat passed the order after scrutinising the case dockets and other relevant documents in the case.
The case was filed over circulating indecent, defamatory, objectionable and fake information on some ministers, lawmakers and top Jubo Mahila League leaders on Facebook.
On February 4, Mohammad Russell Mollah, sub-inspector of Detective Branch of police and also the investigation officer, submitted the charge sheet with Chief Metropolitan Magistrate s Court of Dhaka in the case. ....
