Italy's Nexi lifts 2021 revenue outlook after larger-than-forecast Q1 rise

MILAN, May 13 (Reuters) - Italian payments group Nexi on Thursday improved its outlook for 2021 revenues and said transactions had accelerated from mid-April, after reporting a higher-than-expected turnover for the first quarter.
Nexi shares jumped on the results, briefly triggering an automatic trading suspension. They rose 2.7% by 1125 GMT.
The company said it hoped to grow revenues by a high single-digit or double-digit percentage this year, compared with the mid-to-high single digit rise it had guided for in February.
Nexi posted a 2% increase in earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) to 140 million euros in the first quarter, while revenues rose 4.1% to 259 million euros, ahead of company expectations. ....

Shipping Corporation Q4 net profit slips 23% to Rs 85.76 crore
Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) on Thursday reported a 23 per cent decline in its consolidated profit to Rs 85.76 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2021.
The state-owned company had clocked a consolidated profit of Rs 111 crore for the corresponding quarter in 2019-20, it said in a regulatory filing.
Its total consolidated income declined to Rs 900.73 crore during the quarter under review as against 1,391.85 crore in the year-ago period.
Total expenses were also lower at Rs 838.57 crore during the quarter compared to Rs 1,284.35 crore a year ago. ....

Atlantia sticks to 2021 guidance after Q1 loss

MILAN, May 13 (Reuters) - Italian infrastructure group Atlantia on Thursday confirmed its 2021 guidance after reporting a 67 million euro ($81 million) net loss for the first quarter as the pandemic continued to bite.
The group controlled by Italy’s Benetton family recorded an 8% fall in sales between January and March due to the prolonged impact of the healthcare crisis on motorway and airport traffic.
Atlantia owns Italy’s biggest toll-road operator, Autostrade per l’Italia. It is due to decide by June 11 whether to accept an offer for its 88% stake in Autostrade it has received from state lender CDP and other investors.
