Lithuania s former president gets Covid-19 jab

Former President Valdas Adamkus and his wife Alma, as well Vytautas Landsbergis, Lithuania s first post-independence leader, were vaccinated against Covid-19 on Thursday.
They were among the first 75 people in the 80+ age group to get immunised, Santara Clinics in Vilnius said on Friday.
Adamkus is 94, Alma Adamkienė is 93, and Landsbergis is 88.
“I am glad that we have a possibility to take care of Lithuania s people. Specialists are experienced and do their job well, so it should not hurt for anyone,” Adamkus was quoted in the statement. ....
