‘Donny Morris z”l Memorial Program’ Inspires Learning and Mitzvot

Nachman Daniel ben Aryeh Tzvi, Donny Morris, z”l, was gifted to his family, friends and communities in the U.S. and Israel for a brief 19 years. On Lag B’Omer he was taken from them during the tragedy on Mt. Meron. Thousands were in attendance at his heartbreaking levaya at Yeshivat Sha’alvim and tens of thousands joined via Zoom as he was buried on Har HaZeitim. Shiva began in Israel and concluded at his family’s home in Bergenfield.
The overwhelming task of finding a meaningful way to mourn the loss of such a precious young soul for 30 days leading up to the Shloshim was left to the family and community. During the shiva, a handwritten weekly schedule of learning was located among Donny’s possessions. Province seeks Weyburn area views on Highway 39 improvements

Visit www.highway39.ca and review the proposed information for the improvements between
March 15 and 28, 2021. This virtual information session will focus on planning of improvements north of Weyburn and at the junction of Highways 13 and 39.
The scope of the Hwy. 6/39 Corridor Improvement Initiative includes the following:
• Extending the twinning on Highway 6 south of Regina;
• Twinning the Highway 6/39 corridor through Corinne;
• Extending the existing twinning northwest of Weyburn; and
• Evaluating safety improvements for the Junction of Highways 13 and 39.
Important sections for Weyburn residents to provide feedback include:

To improve traffic flow and safety on the Hwy 39 corridor, the Ministry is proposing extending the existing twinning North of Weyburn, changes to nearby range road access and service road realignment. ....

100UP programme kicks off fundraising campaign

The University of Cape Town’s (UCT) 100UP programme has embarked on a massive fundraising drive to garner much-needed support. Despite still receiving good financial support, many corporate funders have been left out of pocket and have had to withdraw from the programme as a result of financial difficulties brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
100UP is one of UCT’s flagship programmes and seeks to address the low numbers of disadvantaged children from marginalised communities in the Western Cape who enter university. In 2018, together with UCT’s Schools Improvement Initiative, the programme received the university’s Social Responsiveness Award for its work with children in under-resourced communities. ....
