The Mumbai Police’s Cyber Crime Department had written to Myntra after it received the complaint. Myntra executives informed the cops that the company had decided to change its logo and it needed one month to effect the change on all platforms.
The complainant, one Naaz Patel of Avesta Foundation NGO, had filed the police complaint in December last year. She had alleged that the old Myngtra logo resembled a naked woman and demanded its removal.
“We found that the logo was offensive in nature for women. Following the complaint, we sent an email to Myntra and their officials came and met us. The officials said they will change the logo in a month’s time,” DCP Rashmi Karandikar, Cyber Crime Department of Mumbai police was quoted by Jagran English. ....

The e-commerce giant Myntra has decided to change its logo after a Mumbai-based woman activist lodged a complaint with the state cyber police alleging it to be insulting and offensive towards women.
A Mumbai-based activist Naaz Patel who is associated with the Avesta Foundation NGO lodged the complaint in December 2020. Patel sought the removal of logo by the Flipkart-backed e-commerce giant and appropriate action against the company. The e-commerce fashion giant Myntra has decided to change its logo after a woman activist filed a complaint with the state cyber police alleging that the logo was offensive towards women.
The complaint was filed by a Mumbai-based activist Naaz Patel in association with  Avesta Foundation NGO. The complaint was filed in December 2020.
In the complaint, Patel demanded that the Flipkart-backed e-commerce giant remove the logo, and urged the police to take appropriate action against the company. ....

Fashion e-tailer Myntra has decided to change its log following a complaint by a Mumbai-based activist, who alleged that the brand’s signage was offensive to women.
Sources close to the company confirmed the development and said Myntra is changing the logo across its website, app and packaging material.
Myntra did not respond to queries.
The complaint had been lodged last month with the cyber cell in Mumbai.
“A complainant (woman) had approached the cyber crime police station in the matter. We called a meeting with Myntra following the complaint, they (Myntra) came and agreed to change the logo. They have sent an email as well on the same,” DCP Rashmi Karandikar of Mumbai Police’s Cyber Crime Department said. ....
