Haulage company, Vertex Mission Sdn Bhd, which is based in Klang, Selangor is planning to expand its fleet by adding more HINO trucks. It had recently taken delivery of 5 HINO 700 Series prime movers from Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. These 5 are the 700 Series SH1EERA with automated manual transmission (AMT).
Subsequent to this delivery, Vertex Mission is looking forward to adding more HINO trucks to its fleet. It is already in discussion for the purchase of the next batch which will likely be delivered in Q3 this year. ....

The Indian arm of Japanese consumer electronics major, Panasonic India, is betting big on Make in India by ensuring that 90 to 100 per cent of each of its products sold in India is locally built. The aim is to double its residential air-conditioning business segment in the next three years, Manish Sharma, President & CEO, Panasonic India & SA said recently on the occasion of the launch of a new range of ACs. Sharma said he expected to see a sales growth of 35 percent from the first half of this year itself. Overall, the AC industry is expected to see a growth of 15-20 percent this summer. ....

FBR Allows Duty-Free Imports of Electric 2-3 Wheelers

The government of Pakistan has taken another step to promote electric vehicle technology in the country. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has exempted Additional Customs Duty (ACD) on the import of electric 2-3 wheelers
up to June 30, 2025.
The Completely Built-Up (CBU) units of the following EVs can now be imported free of ACD:
Electric auto-rickshaw
3-Wheeler electric-loader
The FBR has issued a notification on Wednesday, the 3rd of February, 2021, to amend S.R.O. 572(I)2020. Under the notification, there will be no more additional customs duty on the import, of electric vehicles falling under Pakistan Customs Tariff (PCT) codes 8703.8030 (electric auto rickshaw), 8711.6040 (electric motorcycle), and 8711.6060 (3-wheeler electric-loader). ....
