Since its beginnings, the Knights of Columbus has supported active military personnel and our veterans. This Thanksgiving, Mary s Millennium Knights of Columbus Council #12801 of Streamwood, IL, continued that tradition by hosting a fundraiser for the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans.
The Knights support the shelter throughout the year, and normally collect household items at their Christmas party, instead of buying gifts for each other. Due to the pandemic, the annual party would not be held, therefore, the Knights appealed to their parish, St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Streamwood, to fill the void. The parish responded overwhelming donating cash, gift cards, and household items totaling more than $5,000, including ....
