WestwoodWinds dedicates virtual concert to essential workers Common Content Editor’s Note: The following was submitted by WestwoodWinds. The WestwoodWinds Community Band has released a video of its performance of two musical pieces dedicated to essential workers. Unable to practice or perform its annual public summer concert, each of its 36 musician-members recorded a video of their own part of “Tribute and Triumph” by David Shaffer and “You Raise Me Up” by Graham and Lovlan. The videos have been combined into a “virtual band” concert by Jim Giurleo, musical director of WestwoodWinds. The performance is dedicated to the brave and tireless people who serve to meet everyone’s medical, safety, law enforcement, education, shopping and other essential needs. ....
