Sunshine Coast Council has taken action to ensure its SunCentral Maroochydore development company overseeing the new city centre project could continue to operate as a corporate entity, with a new chair of the SunCentral board to be appointed. Current chairman Dr Doug McTaggart has told Mayor Mark Jamieson he does not wish to renew his position. His tenure was due to expire on April 30, along with fellow board members Morgan Parker, Alison Quinn and Paul McLean, while Peter Sherrie s stint is not due to expire until September 30.

Developer confirms mid-$5m swoop on mayor s beachside site

Long-time Mooloolaba developer Rod Forrester confirmed he and his wife had splashed more than $5m to secure 123 Mooloolaba Esplanade, Mooloolaba - a property owned by LSJD Projects which is directed by Ken Guy, Mark Jamieson, Doug Meecham and Ron Milne. Why report on council bullying allegations will stay buried

Several Right to Information applications and requests for review, carried out by the Office of the Information Commissioner, have proven fruitless as the report, compiled by PKF Integrity, remained locked away in the council vault.
