Three people were arrested and 12 dogs were rescued following an investigation into a dog fighting operation in Tangipahoa Parish.
Sheriff s Deputies say agents were executing a narcotics search warrant at a home on Marie Drive in Hammond when they discovered the dog fighting ring and operation.
In total, twelve dogs were rescued from the home by the Parish s animal control agency. The dogs, they say, were chained and attached to trees throughout the backyard of the residence.
