HOPKINTON The Hopkinton Town Council has a vacancy and seeks to appoint a councilor to fill out the unexpired term.
Jody Wenzel announced his resignation from the seat in a Jan. 6 letter to the town. He cites a St. Lawrence County Board of Ethics report that says there could be a potential conflict of interest due to Wenzel’s accepting a position with the St. Lawrence County Attorney’s Office.
Town Supervisor Susan Wood is asking anyone who is interested in seeking an appointment to the seat to send a letter of interest to her attention at either Town of Hopkinton, 7 Church St. Hopkinton, NY 12965, or via email to [email protected]. The vacated board position will be on the November 2021 election ballot to fill the remaining two years. ....
