A decision was taken to convert the Club Koggala Village into a COVID-19 treatment centre managed by the Government, sources confirm.
Another hotel managed by the same company, Long Beach Koggala is currently also been utilized as a beach accommodation for overseas travellers who visit Sri Lanka as a part of the pilot programme.
Speaking to Hiru News, sources state that following the decision, the hotel was subjected to inspection by the Government health authorities.
They state that while they hope to begin to operations of the treatment centre soon, they are still in the process of streamlining and figuring out the proper procedures. ....
