A file photo from June 7, 1999 by Gary Walts of developer Tom Weatherup, of Central Square, who had plans to develop the land behind him on Kelly Drive off Hungry Lane. Weatherup died at age 91 on Feb. 24, 2021.

Thomas S. “Tom” Weatherup, 91, of Central Square, died Wednesday.
He was a life resident of Central Square and a graduate of Central Square high school. He attended Clarkson University and served in the US Navy Construction Battalion (Seabees), according to his obituary.
He was an entrepreneur who developed residential housing communities including North Country Heights, Irish Hills, Green Acres Apartments, Country Garden Apartments, Senior Living Community Summerhill Village and Watertower Landing.
