PORTAGE While many of its teachers are already vaccinated, the Portage Area School District is taking the next step to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
Through the Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber, the district is set to host a vaccine clinic April 22 for high school students, staff and community members.
“We are really fortunate to provide this opportunity to our students and the community,” Superintendent Eric Zelanko said. “We want to take care of our people, and we don’t want to sit back and let the virus take over. If there’s a problem, we’re going to attack it. COVID is a problem, and we’re getting after it.” ....
