Mobilia extends suspension of subsidiary's production operations until May 9

KUALA LUMPUR (May 3): Recently listed Mobilia Holdings Bhd has said it will resume operations of its administration office on May 5, but will continue to suspend production operations of its subsidiary, Mobilia International Sdn Bhd (MI), until May 9.
Prior to this, the home furniture maker had temporarily shut MI s operations in Muar from April 26 after some of its employees tested positive for Covid-19.
The extension of the suspension is aimed at minimising the risk of further spreading the Covid-19 virus within the community, the group said in a bourse filing.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the company does not expect any material impact on its operations, financial performance and/or earning prospects arising from the further temporary suspension of MI s operations until May 9, it said. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, May 3 Mobilia Holdings Bhd will resume the operations of its administration office on May 5, but continue to suspend operations of its subsidiary, Mobilia International Sdn Bhd (MI), until May 9.
The Johor-based furniture maker had suspended the operations of MI from April 26 to May 2 after some of its employees were tested positive for Covid-19.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it said the decision to extend the suspension was aimed at minimising the risk of further spreading the Covid-19 virus within the community. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 Johor-based furniture manufacturer Mobilia Holdings Bhd (Mobilia) said its subsidiary Mobilia International Sdn Bhd has been instructed by the Ministry of Health to suspend operations after some of its employees were tested positive for Covid-19.
The suspension starts today (April 26) until May 2.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said the temporary suspension of its subsidiary in Bukit Bakri, Muar, is expected to delay the shipment of several sales orders. ....

Newly ACE listed Mobilia top active, opens at 183% premium to IPO price of 23 sen

The stock opened at 65 sen a 183% premium to its IPO price of 23 sen.
At the time of writing, the stock stood at 67.5 sen with 125.8 million shares traded.
According to its prospectus, the company s IPO exercise saw the issuance of up to 60 million new shares, comprising a public issue of 20 million shares, while 28 million placed out to identified investors, and the remaining 12 million set aside for eligible employees of the company, at an issue price of 23 sen apiece.
Mobilia’s IPO which was oversubscribed 92 times is the third listing for the year.
The company raised about RM13.8 million from its IPO which will mostly be spent on the construction of office, showroom and factory to support the group s long-term growth. ....

KLCI pares gains as regional markets dip

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 23): The main index at Bursa Malaysia pared some of its gains at mid-morning today, as regional markets dipped.
At 10.10am, the FBM KLCI was up 4.51 points to 1,574.97. The index had earlier risen to a high of 1,580.68.
Gainers led losers by 455 to 392, while 444 counters traded unchanged. Trading volume was 3.62 billion shares valued at RM1.49 billion.
The top gainer was newly-listed Mobilia Holdings Bhd, Panasonic Manufacturing Malaysia Bhd, Pimpinan Ehsan Bhd, Heineken Malaysia Bhd, Hengyuan Refining Company Bhd, Petronas Gas Bhd, Industronics Bhd, Hap Seng Consolidated Bhd and Padini Holdings Bhd.
