Sioux Lookout’s Brandon Stanley was held to only two shots Thursday night as his Niagara Purple Eagles fell 3-2 to the #20 Robert Morris Colonials in overtime.
The Purple Eagles held a 2-1 lead with less than five minutes to go in regulation when Brendon Michaelian scored to bring the Colonials even.
Michaelian, an alternate captain for Robert Morris, would then beat Niagara goalie Michael Corson in the extra frame to seal the win.
Stanley, who spent two seasons with the U18 Kenora Thistles, has five points (one goal, four assists) through eight games this season. ....
