Child dies following skiing accident at Mt Seymour
Police and the BC Coroners Service are investigating after a child died at Mt Seymour this weekend.
According to police, on Saturday around 8 pm, officers were called to assist Emergency Health Services after hearing that a 12-year-old child was seriously injured on the ski hill.
Paramedics transported the child from the mountain to the BC Children s Hospital. Tragically, the child was pronounced deceased when he arrived.
Our thoughts and hearts remain with the family through this tragedy, said Sgt. Peter DeVries.
The BC Coroners Service has now taken control of the investigation. They have not said what caused the incident. ....
