Ten persons reportedly died on Friday night in Agbor, the headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State after a gas plant went up in flames, destroying several buildings, vehicles and leaving many persons with serious injuries. Eyewitnesses told Sunday PUNCH that a gas tanker had arrived at the Osadebe Gas Plant along the expressway around 6pm. One of them, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said instead of waiting for hours to allow the vehicle and the content to cool off, they started discharging it immediately. ....

A statement by Samuel Aruwan, the state commissioner of internal security and home affairs, revealed that four people were killed during an attack on Maskoro village, Kakau ward, and Akunakwo, in Gwagwada ward, both in Chikun local government area. The suspected bandits, according to the commissioner, attacked Hayin Inji community and Kidandan town in Giwa local government area and killed two people while eight others were injured. ....
Daily Post Nigeria Published Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has said that the dissolution of the State Executive Council does not affect the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr Uche Ihediwa, Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, and the Commissioner for Health, Dr Joe Osuji. Recall that Ikpeazu had approved the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council on a Saturday. He had also ordered all those affected by the dissolution to hand over all government property in their possession as well their handover notes to their respective permanent secretaries. The senior pastor of Awaiting the Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has warned President Muhammadu Buhari against arresting Sunday Igboho. The cleric condemned the federal government for going after Igboho after he issued an ultimatum to Fulanis in Oyo to exit the state. The Yoruba activist, real name, Sunday Adeyemo, reiterated his deadline on Friday. Giwa, in a statement on Saturday, said Igboho’s arrest “will hasten the disintegration of Nigeria”. The Christian leader accused the President of protecting Fulani “while they continue to kill our people”. “Why didn’t IGP arrest Miyetti Allah and their representatives in Abuja? At least six people have been killed and eight others injured during separate attacks by bandits in Giwa and Chikun local government areas of Kaduna State. Confirming the incident in a statement on Saturday, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said four persons were killed in Chikun local government while two others were killed in Giwa. According to him, armed bandits attacked Maskoro community of Kakau Ward, and Akunakwo of Gwagwada Ward, both in Chikun local government area, where they killed two persons, identified as Nehemiah Ishaku and Yunana Mai-Mulo, while two others, Haruna Dogo and Danjuma Jagaba were killed at Akunakwo in similar attacks. ....
