An Awami League activist, who wounded by the supporters of Hifazat-e Islam leader Mamunul Haque, has died in hospital care in Chattogram.

The man has been identified as 50-year-old Md Mohibullah, a member of Awami League s Kodala Union unit in Rangunia Upazila.
He died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the port city on Tuesday night, according to police.

A local Awami League leader, who was attacked by supporters of Hefajat-e-Islam leader Mamunul Haque in Rangunia upazila of Chattogram on Saturday evening, succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in the port city early today.
Deceased Md Muhibullah (54) was an executive member of Kodala union unit AL in Rangunia upazila, said Engineer Shamsul Alam Talukder, general secretary of Rangunia upazila unit AL.
When Mamunul was confined by locals with a woman at a resort in Sonargaon of Narayanganj on Saturday evening, rumour spread in Rangunia that he was arrested by police, said Shamsul. ....

Three forest officials in Chattogram s Rangunia staged a fake gunfight allegedly to give back a boat, seized earlier with logs, to its owner in exchange for a bribe.
