Summa Health is new presenting sponsor of Akron Marathon Race Series

The Akron Marathon Charitable Corp., which organizes the series, made the announcement Tuesday, Jan. 12.
Summa will be the title sponsor through 2023, according to a news release.
The series previous sponsor had been Akron Children s Hospital, which signed on in fall 2015 as title sponsor beginning in 2016. Its commitment ended in 2020, organizers said, though Akron Children s will serve as the presenting sponsor for the Kids Fun Run in 2021.
The series, originally called the Rubber City Race Series, launched in 2015 as a way to offer runners training events leading up to the full marathon. ....
