NEW DELHI: No charges will be levied from states for COVID-19 isolation coaches, said Northern Railway General Manager Ashutosh Gangal on Sunday. To my knowledge, no charges will be levied from states for COVID isolation coaches. COVID-19: Railways to run 'Oxygen Express'; NR says 463 isolation coaches ready for deployment

The Northern Railway GM said the coaches prepared by the Railways can be used for isolating patients and for treating mild cases.

New Delhi: In view of the shortage of medical oxygen in several parts of the country owing to the worsening coronavirus situation, the Railway Board on Sunday accepted a request by the Government of Maharashtra to transport liquid medical oxygen on cryogenic tankers.
A Railway official said that they will run Oxygen Express to transport liquid medical oxygen and oxygen cylinders across the country over the next few days. ....

The construction of the arch of the world’s highest railway bridge that soars 359 metres above the bed of the Chenab river in Jammu and Kashmir was completed on Monday, with the Northern Railways terming the achievement a milestone.
The 1.3-kilometre-long bridge aims to boost connectivity to the Kashmir Valley and it is being constructed at a cost of Rs 1,486 crore as part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link (USBRL) project. ....

New Delhi [India], April 5 (ANI): The Indian Railways on Monday completed the Arch closure of the iconic Chenab Bridge, the world s highest railway bridge, which is part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project (USBRL).
According to a statement issued by the ministry, the Arch closure was one of the most difficult parts of the bridge over Chenab and its completion is a major leap towards the completion of the 111 km-long winding stretch from Katra to Banihal. ....
