Colleges rapped for scholarship students’ data

With the state’s social justice and special assistance department issuing notices to 260 colleges in Pune district for delaying submission of
information pertaining to scholarship students,
student activists have now demanded that action should be taken against these errant colleges.
Sangeeta Davkar, assistant commissioner of the department, informed that some colleges have been dragging their feet in furnishing details of students eligible for scholarship, which is impacting the disbursal of the funds through
direct bank transfers to the student accounts. This has happened despite several reminders issued to the colleges, compelling the department to issue the notices pursuant to a decision taken earlier this week. ....
