Hundreds of families living at the Kamgar Putala slum, one of the oldest slums located in the heart of the city near the district and sessions court in Shivajinagar, have approached the Bombay High Court (HC) against their alleged relocation to Lohegaon 15 km away under the slum rehabilitation scheme.
The residents in their public interest litigation (PIL) claimed that their relocation for the proposed Metro junction will badly affect their livelihood as most of the locals work as domestic help, vendors or drivers within the vicinity of Shivajinagar and ....
