Regina man charged after sending threatening email to prime minister

A Regina man is facing charges after sending a threatening email to the federal government.
The letter was received by the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s office in Ottawa on May 1 and was forwarded to the RPS on May 5.
At about 10:00 a.m. on May 5, Regina Police received a call from Trudeau’s office saying they received an email containing threats of damage to the Legislative Building and Queen’s Bench Court, as well as threats to the safety of an out-of-province doctor and a retired judge.
An investigation into the email led to the residence of a 59-year-old man, who was arrested without incident. ....

A 59-year-old Regina man has been charged with uttering threats after the Prime Minister’s office alerted the Regina Police Service (RPS) of an email allegedly containing threats.
Regina police said Wednesday the Prime Minister’s office called to report an email received May 1 that allegedly contained threats of damage to the Saskatchewan Legislative Building and Queen’s Bench Court, as well as threated to the safety of a retired judge and out-of-province physician.
RPS Major Crimes arrested 59-year-old Harold Christopher Charles Ringline on Wednesday afternoon. He is facing one charge of uttering threats. Ringline made his first appearance in provincial court on Thursday. ....

A 59-year-old Regina man has been charged after an email was received by the Prime Minister’s Office that allegedly contained threats against property in Regina as well as people.
Regina police say they were contacted Wednesday by the Prime Minister’s Office about the email, which contained what police said were “threats of damage to the Legislative Building and Queen’s Bench Court, as well as threats to the safety of an out-of-province physician and a retired judge.”
After investigating, police arrested the man at his home and charged him with uttering threats. He made his first court appearance Thursday morning. ....
