Two people have been arrested and charged with murder after a woman was found dead in Braxton Tuesday morning. Dantrell Jerome Hunter, 27, of Prentiss, and Ashley Hales Basham, 46, of Hattiesburg, have been arrested and charged with murder, according to Rankin County officials. Tuesday morning, deputies were called to the 100 block of Conerly Road, where they found the victim deceased with trauma to the head. Authorities have identified her as Ashlei McFarland, 38, of Louin.Investigators were called to the scene and were able to quickly identify the suspects, Hunter and Basham, who had fled the scene, authorities said.
