Rampur administration allows Azam Khan to sell his double barrel gun ANI | Updated: Mar 11, 2021 20:49 IST Rampur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 11 (ANI): Rampur district administration on Thursday granted permission to Rampur Member of Parliament (MP) Azam Khan, who is currently lodged in Sitapur jail, to sell his double-barrel gun. He had sent his application to the district magistrate through the jail superintendent and sought permission for the same. Azam Khan had sought permission to sell a licensed gun by post. The administration gave permission to him by post to sell his gun. Now, he can sell it, said Rampur City Magistrate, Ramji Mishra. ....

Azam Khan’s ‘Loktantra Senani’ pension stopped By IANS| Published: 25th February 2021 1:54 pm IST Rampur (Uttar Pradesh), Feb 25 : The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has stopped the Loktantra Senani pension being received by Samajwadi Party MP Mohd Azam Khan. Khan had been receiving the pension, Rs 20,000 per month, since 2005. He was among the 37 beneficiaries of the pension in Rampur district. Azam Khan was jailed during the Emergency in 1975 and had been categorized as a ‘Loktantra Senani’ by the Mulayam Singh government that started the pension scheme. Additional District Magistrate Jagdamba Prasad Gupta said the pension of Azam Khan was withheld in the district because of the number of criminal cases pending against him. ....
