3039 Panchkula, January 16 A 40-year-old sanitation worker was given the first Covid-19 vaccine at the Civil Dispensary in Sector 4 here as Panchkula began its mass vaccination drive at three centres today. She was the first beneficiary from the district as well as the state to get the jab. The worker identified as, Saroj Bala, who has been working at the same dispensary for the past 20 years, received a Covishield jab. While interacting with mediapersons Saroj said she was feeling fine after getting vaccinated. She was subsequently kept at the observation room for 30 minutes to watch for any side-effects of the vaccine. ....
