Monatelang haben Kinobetreiber ihre Säle und die Technik an die neuesten Corona-Bestimmungen angepasst. Seit rund zwei Wochen dürfen sie endlich wieder öffnen - und das Publikum kehrt in Scharen zurück.
Mainz/Saarbrücken (dpa/lrs) - Viele Kinos in Rheinland-Pfalz und im Saarbrücken haben nach dem Ende der coronabedingten Zwangspause am 1. Juli einen Besucheransturm erlebt. Das war sensationell , sagte Geschäftsführer Oliver Fock von der Kette Cinestar, die bundesweit 48 Häuser betreibt, unter anderem auch in Saarbrücken, Mainz und Ludwigshafen. Die CineStar-Kinos hätten sechsmal so viele Besucher wie im Vorjahr begrüßen können und sogar das Vergleichswochenende in 2019 an Besucherzahlen übertroffen, sagte er. In den Kinos sind die Sitzplatzkapazitäten wegen der geltenden Hygiene- und Sicherheitsbestimmungen reduziert. ....

The best part of going to the movies for many film fans is getting a huge tub of fresh popcorn.
But with movie theatres closed in many parts of the world due to the coronavirus pandemic, many people have been left without their favourite film snack – unless they make it themselves, which, honestly, is just not the same as from the theatre.
