According to the Richmond County Historical Society (RCHS), the virtual book launch of Murder on the Orford Mountain Railway, By Nick Fonda, was a success and sold out. The RCHS thanked supporters and Nick Fonda, who was generous enough to donate a portion of each book sale made by RCHS to the muesum.
Copies of Fonda’s book are still available at Papeterie 2000, Black Cat Books (among other selected bookstores) and on Amazon.
Those who purchased copies from RCHS had a chance to win an oil painting – the very same oil painting used for the front cover of Murder on the Orford Mountain Railway. ....

Moving a single painting 650 metres might not sound like a big job, but transporting this particular canvas across the town of Richmond, in the Eastern Townships, required four sets of arms.
The artwork in question, which depicts a cottage, flowers, and the Saint-François River, measures 15 feet high and 29 feet across. It was done by celebrated local artist Antonio Montour. ....
