The Ontario government announced last Monday that schools will be closed to in-person learning starting Monday, April 19 due to the COVID-19 situation across the province. RCDHU confirms student at Renfrew Collegiate Institute tests positive for COVID-19

Article content Renfrew County and District Health Unit (RCDHU), in collaboration with the Renfrew County District School Board (RCDSB), is confirming that a student at Renfrew Collegiate Institute (RCI) in Renfrew has a positive laboratory-confirmed case of COVID-19. RCDHU is working closely with the RCDSB to ensure necessary measures continue to be in place to protect all staff, students and the public. RCDHU staff is actively investigating the case and all high-risk contacts will receive a standard text message from the RCDHU virtual assistant and call by Public Health Ontario within 24 hours, notifying them that they have recently been exposed to COVID-19, according to a release issued by the health unit Thursday afternoon.
