SCHODACK, N.Y. â A Valatie man is facing additional charges in light of new information brought forward in a sex abuse case being probed by the Rensselaer County Sheriffâs Office. Heath E. Harrison, 46, is being charged in three additional incidents involving sexual contact with a minor, all of which were reported to have happened in the Town of Schodack. Harrison was charged with felony predatory sexual assault against a child, felony first-degree criminal sex act 1st (B Felony), felony first-degree sexual abuse, misdemeanor, sexual misconduct, and misdemeanor forcible touching, for incidents alleged to have occurred between April 1, 2018, through April 30, 2018. ....
SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. â A town man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with a report of a domestic dispute. State police arrested Albert McDonald, 42, and charged him with second-degree strangulation (felony), third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (felony), first-degree unlawful imprisonment (felony), third-degree assault (misdemeanor), fourth-degree criminal mischief (misdemeanor), and second-degree menacing (misdemeanor). State Police responded to a residence in the town for a report of a domestic dispute. According to authorities, McDonald had barricaded himself in the residence, and police were advised he had access to firearms. The victim was located outside the residence and safely removed from the area. Attempts to communicate with McDonald were unsuccessful. ....

Troopers say they pulled a car over Monday afternoon in Troy with Taijon Alston behind the wheel and Justice Ross in the passenger seat. State Police say Alston drove off after troopers initially were able to pull him over. Alston later crashed in the city of Troy and both men tried to run off but were caught by state police. Troopers say Ross had a loaded gun with a high capacity magazine. He was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon. Troopers say he also had an active parole warrant. Ross was arraigned and taken to Rensselaer County Jail without bail. ....

But the Environmental Protection Agency 30 years ago began to realize what contaminants were contained within it, and established regulations meant to curtail snow dumping. Snow removed from streets within the City of Albany now gets piled at a vacant lot in the Port of Albany, the city s chosen spot for the last several years. ....

ZeoliTroy Police Department TROY – A 21-year-old Barker Park activist who has alleged he was abused by police was arrested Thursday afternoon on a Rensselaer County grand jury indictment warrant for felony sexual assault charges, city police said. Kenneth J. Zeoli of Cohoes faces charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual assault and second-degree strangulation for an alleged sexual assault of a woman on Nov. 3, police said. The woman reported on Nov. 8 that she had been sexually attacked, police said. “After a through investigation, the case was presented to a grand jury by the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office,” the report released by Deputy Chief Dan DeWolf Thursday. The statement said “an indictment warrant was issued” for Zeoli’s arrest on the three charges. ....
