Hikers rest while enjoying a spectacular view of the Adirondack Park from the top of Mount Marcy. The mountain is the highest point in New York State with an elevation of 5,344 feet. However, it s not an easy hike for the beginner. The hike in and out totals 14.8 miles and takes an estimated 10 hours to complete.Lauren Long | llong@syracuse.com
