New Brunswick has once again escaped any serious impact from the spring freshet this year.
The province’s River Watch program officially ended Monday after nearly six weeks in operation.
Officials say water levels along the Saint John River basin continue to drop and are returning to normal levels.
Public Safety Minister Ted Flemming said we were fortunate to see a minor flood impact this year.
“But even in years like this, the River Watch team is hard at work and I would like to thank all our partners for their efforts,” Flemming said in a news release. ....
