245,000 people have moved out of their place of birth and 68% of these people are in urban areas in the province of Naitasiri, Rewa and Ba according to Fiji’s first ever Migration Profile Report,
The report states that 44% of people living in Naitasiri were not born in the province, and 37% of people living in Rewa were born in another province.
It also states 22% of people living in Ba were not born in the most populated province. ....

8 members of the Raralevu Cemetery Committee in Nausori are on their way to North with $29,400 worth of building materials to assist 60 families whose houses were destroyed by TC Yasa.
A member, Ajay Prasad says these materials include 600 roofing irons, tins and nails.
Prasad says these materials were bought with kind donations from people in the Rewa Delta while $5,000 was donated by their families and friends overseas.
He has thanked all the donors for their support. ....

People living in the whole of Rewa Delta, Tailevu South, and Nausori Town till Baulevu will be experiencing low water pressure to no water from  January 8 to  January 9 2021, says the Water Authority of Fiji.
In a statement, WAF said the planned works were to allow WAF contractors to carry out connection works on the new DICL 600mm to the existing 450mm PVC water main near the Rewa Bridge. ....
