Lawrence Township police say one person was arrested early Thursday morning after causing flooding at the Super 8 Hotel located along the Clearfield/Shawville Highway.
Police say officers and crews with the Lawrence Township Fire Company were dispatched to the hotel, around 3 a.m., for a fire alarm and reports of flooding inside a first floor room.
Fire crews say sprinklers inside the room had been activated and caused major flooding into other parts of the hotel.
Officers say the room was being rented by 32-year-old Aaron Schmitt, of Clearfield, who later began fighting with police when questioned about the flooding. ....
