Young crafter Lainey Strickland, from Darlington, has been making decorations for charity
AN eight-year-old has raised thousands of pounds for charity after spending four months creating Christmas decorations.
Young crafter Lainey Strickland, from Darlington, was inspired to start making decorations to sell to raise money after getting a new sewing machine in August.
Since the autumn, she has spent hours making wreaths, baubles and other decorations.
She spent a day selling the items from a stall outside her home in Brinkburn Avenue and has also been selling things online.
Lainey, who is a pupil at Holy Family RC Primary School, has raised £2,283, which is going to be divided between Layla’s Legacy UK, Darlington Memorial Hospital children’ ....
