Riverside Health System announced last week that Riverside Walter Reed Hospital (RWRH) earned its fourth consecutive top mark, “A,” for patient safety performance in the Spring 2021 Hospital Safety Grade Scores by The Leapfrog Group, an independent, national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety.
“Patient safety is an ongoing priority for our team, and as the pandemic continues, our staff has been as dedicated as ever to ensuring patients are being cared for with the utmost compassion,” said Dr. Esther Desimini, president of RWRH. “We’re proud to receive an ‘A’ for the fourth year in a row. For the fourth consecutive awards cycle, Parkridge Medical Center and Parkridge East Hospital received an “A” grade in the spring 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing the facility’s achievements protecting patients from errors, injuries, accidents and infections.
