City Manager Al Minner presents Leesburg 2020 State of the City address

LEESBURG Leesburg City Manager Al Minner gave the annual State of the City address on Thursday morning, highlighting the city s efforts, projects and accomplishments in 2020. Even though this was a tough year, Minner reflected on the “bright spots” in Leseburg. 
Here’s a recap: 
 According to Minner, COVID-19 is like the hurricane that doesn’t go away. 
“That hurricane week, it’s just three or four days from hell, 24-7, and that seems like how COVID has been this year, one challenge to the next for nine or ten months,” Minner said. “I think the one big thing we did, if you can have success out of it, was a big nod to our elected officials from the federal government, down to the state, that was in the form of the CARES Act money.” ....
