ST. LOUIS A former St. Louis County lawmaker says a logistics center is still being proposed for the former Jamestown Mall site.
Rochelle Walton Gray, who represented the area on the County Council until January after losing a re-election bid, has made comments on social media, saying the mall is slated to be demolished.. ....

A vacant mall in North St. Louis County may have a new owner later this year. The St. Louis County Port Authority says there is an interested buyer for Jamestown Mall on Highway 67, which has been closed since 2014. The sale of the 1.2-million square foot property is in the early stages and the potential buyer has not been named.
A spokesperson for the Port Authority, which owns the mall property, also did not say what the potential buyer was planning if the sale is successful. The buyer simply has a contract and now has several months to consider the purchase. Jamestown Mall opened in 1973 but suffered along with many other malls in the country in the early 2000s as shopping patterns changed and shifted towards retail centers near interstates along with online shopping. ....
