Christmas will be a bit brighter for 12 families and 34 children thanks to the Bull Shoals Shop With a Cop and Firefighter event held earlier this month.
The Bull Shoals Police Department says in a Facebook post, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s event was held in partnership with the Bull Shoals VFW. The VFW was faced with either canceling its annual holiday party for local children or hold a virtual-style event.
With the assistance of Jess Wilkinson, the city’s court clerk, and VFW Post Commander Chuck Kinler, a drive-thru event was held at the Bull Shoals VFW Post on Dec. 12. ....
