God’s Kingdom in Lorain is hosting an event with several local organizations to help fight depression, anxiety and addiction.
The event starts at 11 a.m., Dec. 12, at Lorain at Church of the North Coast, 4125 Leavitt Road in Lorain.
For the past four years, Pastor Valerie Howard has hosted an event to support the mental health of the community.

Several years ago, Howard said she was going through a difficult time with her own mental health.
She said her support system was able to pull her out of her sadness.
However, Howard said she fears there are people in Lorain County without a support system. ....
