The Coalition of North East Groups has said the media is biased in its reportage of the travails  of Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami.
In a statement by its North East Zonal Coordinator and North East Zonal Secretary, Mersses. Abubakar Modire and Shuaibu Gidado,  the group said in spite of the Minister’s position  and the North’s refusal to engage in altercations with  self-appointed enemies of   northern region, no stone is being left unturned to sustain what it called campaign of calumny.
The statement reads:”The Coalition of Northeast Groups is hereby compelled to respond to the recent sustained media calumny directed at the personality of the Honourable Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami by a traditional biased section of the national media. ....

Kathmandu has conveyed a formal objection against Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb s remarks that BJP has planned to expand in neighbouring Nepal & Sri Lanka.
After Sri Lanka, Nepal has now responded to a recent statement made by BJP leader and Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in which he quoted Union Home Minister Amit Shah as saying that the party would soon form its government in the Himalayan and island neighbours.

Replying to a Twitter user who shared a news report on Deb s remarks, Nepal s Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali said,  Noted. Formal objection has been already conveyed . Nepal s ambassador to India Nilamber Acharya has already conveyed the government s official objection to Arindam Bagchi, a joint secretary who is in-charge of Nepal and Bhutan affairs at India s Ministry of External Affair ....

Nepal has taken exception to a recent statement by Biplab Kumar Deb, chief minister of Tripura state of India, in which Deb quoted India s Home Minister Amit Shah as saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party would soon form its government in Nepal.
A Nepali diplomat in the Nepali embassy in New Delhi told The Kathmandu Post over the phone that Ambassador Nilamber Acharya telephoned Arindam Bagchi, joint secretary in-charge of Nepal and Bhutan at India s Ministry of External Affairs, and expressed his reservations about Deb s statement. ....
