NS Corp lays out ambitious plan for NS Aerospace Valley

THE Negeri Sembilan state government has come up with a plan, spanning the next 25 years, to give its economy a shot in the arm. As a precursor to this, the state government launched in mid-December last year Invest NS Year 2021, but it gained little traction because of the pandemic.
Datuk Mohamad Rafie Ab Malek, chairman of NS Corporation, the government agency responsible for the investment and economic affairs of Negeri Sembilan, sheds some light on the state’s ambitious plans.
“We will finalise things soon. This is our economic blueprint. [The] Negeri Sembilan state government has prepared its own master plan for the entire development until 2045. The gross development, the targeted value that we plan for the whole thing, is about RM468 billion,” Mohamad Rafie tells The Edge in an exclusive interview. ....

The public investment model will now be used for two stretches of Vietnam’s North-South Expressway project. The National Highway 45-Nghi Son and Nghi Son-Dien Chau sections were previously to have been built under the PPP model. In all, building the 11 sections of the North-South Expressway currently planned is costing US$3.86 billion.
Vietnam’s $390 million Cam Lam-Vinh Hao Highway project is being carried out by a joint venture comprising 194 Construction Investment, Hai Thach Investment Construction and Deo Ca Group. The 78.5km route will connect Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces and the construction of the link will take around 24 months and include building the N ....

N.Sembilan police confirm eight FRU personnel detained by Perhilitan

SEREMBAN: Negeri Sembilan police chief Datuk Mohamad Mat Yusop has confirmed that eight personnel of the Seremban branch of the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU), including an inspector, were detained by the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan), last Sunday.
He said all them, aged between 33 and 47, were detained on suspicion of possessing an animal species that is protected under the Wildlife Conservation Act 2010.
“I cannot comment further.(however) I confirm that we have received the report about the arrests made by the Perhilitan.
“I would like to advise not only the public but also all police personnel in the state against capturing, shooting and hunting protected animals as they violate the act,” he told reporters after observing a roadblock at the Seremban-Labu toll plaza (northbound) at the North-South Expressway (PLUS), here today. ....
