A rash of four suspicious fires in a matter of three days – with three in less than an hour – has North Bay Fire Chief Jason Whiteley “concerned.”
A fire Friday morning at the former Eddy’s Home Bakery at 281 McIntyre St. E. was just the latest, after firefighters were kept scrambling Wednesday morning responding to alarms in the area from Third Avenue West to O’Brien Street at the North Bay Bypass.

“They are all considered suspicious right now,” Whiteley said following the latest blaze.
