Northwest BOE expected to hire Shawn Braman for superintendent

CANAL FULTON  Northwest Local Schools is expected to name Shawn Braman as the district s new superintendent at a special meeting on Thursday.
According to the agenda for the 7 a.m. special session, the school board will consider Braman s appointment.
He has served as superintendent at Waterloo Local Schools in Atwater for the past six years.
During a forum with the finalists earlier this month, Braman said Northwest is a place where “I can immerse myself.
He described a high-performing school as “a feel-good place” where there is “an atmosphere of collegiality and cooperation . and the kids are happy,” in addition to supporting data and school report cards to measure a school’s performance. ....
